Nobody is spamming airwaves with RSSI readings in amateur radio. Millions of cell phones do that, as the cellular network actually uses this measurement. Ham radio does not. Let’s get real, stop whining about other people, their ages and genders, and have fun with electronics and communications which is what this great hobby is about.

A fun – and inexpensive – way to get into digital is WSPR, Weak Signal Propagation Reporter. The tech is amazing. Check out QRP Labs and sites like wspr.rocks.

and free up the frequencies for something more useful for humanity!

Kansas and Missouri are the only states that limit the protection to trained personnel.

If a trained person does harm in those states, they can’t be held liable? Shouldn’t it be the exact opposite?

As older guy just getting into ham radio. I think it’s not really that way. I just think maybe it more about the computer itself. SDR is going to become more efficient and effective way for new ham radio operators to get into the hobby.

Just think of the person that invented the magic jack and did they think that cellphone was going to be the way of the world. 73’s
